STUDIO RULES
All instructors have your child’s best learning ability in mind. All students will be placed in the appropriate level of classes according to their teacher’s recommendation. Students will be evaluated during the 1st month of classes. Any necessary changes will be made the following month. If your child is having a problem with the level of class he or she is in, please leave a note for Mary Jo in the office or email: maryjo@emjaezdance.com so that we can help. Sometimes changing classes or some extra help can make the difference. Private classes are available. • All Students Must Adhere To The Dress Code. Continual improper dress code will result in dismissal from class.
• All Ballet students must wear their hair in a bun and pulled away from the face. This will be enforced throughout the entire year.
• Students should not enter the studio until the class before them has left the room, and your instructor allows you in. Punctuality is extremely important to ensure proper warm up of the body. Classes will begin on time, and students should be punctual to class. If a student is more than 10 minutes late, you must receive the teachers’ permission to enter the class. If you must miss a class due to illness etc, please call the studio to notify us that you will not be attending class.
• ABSOLUTELY NO GUM is permitted into the studios at any time.
• Please DO NOT enter the studios with street shoes on. If you are wearing tennis shoes for hip-hop, they should be clean. Please Do Not wear dance shoes to and from class.

LOBBY RULES
• If you are observing class and you have children with you, please keep them under close supervision at all times. For the safety of your children: No children are allowed into an empty studio, Dressing room or the entranceway alone at any time. Please respect the property of emjaez Dance studio.
• Only dry food is permitted in the lobby area. Please be respectful to the studio by cleaning up any crumbs or mess before you leave, including trash. Please return items to their proper places before leaving.
• Volume in the lobby area should be kept to a minimum as to not disturb classes. Please refrain from tapping or hitting the observation windows, as it is very distracting for the teachers and students in class.
• Parents: Please be respectful to the instructor and class in progress by refraining from entering the dance studio while a class is in progress. The Studio Lost and Found Box is kept at the entranceway of the studio.
PARKING AND DROP OFF
The parking lot is ONE WAY ONLY. For the safety of the children, please do not leave your car parked in front of the studio door, it is a FIRE ZONE. Due to limited space, it is extremely important that you do not block the alley way and other parked cars. The Bay Village City Police will continue monitoring this issue this season. Please be sure to pick your child up promptly after class (especially the last class of the evening.). We cannot be responsible for children waiting outside of the studio. If you are going to be late, please inform your child to wait inside the building. If you are involved in a car pool, please check the studio for any updated information you may need to know. This is especially important during recital time.
